Reflection

This Design Research Dissertation module provided me with a profound writing experience and reflected changes in my attitude and skills toward writing. Initially, when faced with the continuation of the Design Research Methodology course from the previous semester, I felt a bit lost. Changing mentors added an extra layer of adaptation to new guidance. Writing has never been my strong suit, making the entire semester seem challenging.

However, through this course, I not only gained a deeper understanding of research methodology but also achieved a significant improvement in English writing. The entire writing process was filled with complaints, fatigue, and difficulties. Yet, looking back, I realised that I've come a long way. Although the final results are yet to be revealed, I am satisfied with my personal growth.

A special thanks go to encountering an excellent mentor, Dr Jinchi, who not only pointed out the shortcomings in the dissertation but also provided precise advice. This deepened my understanding of writing and research methodology, laying a solid foundation for future academic work. Despite the twists and turns, I believe this experience will have a positive impact on my academic career.
