Digital Triptych

Triptych: a work of art that is divided into three sections that are hinged together and can be folded shut or displayed open. It is therefore a type of polyptych, the term for all multi-panel works.

I imaged some elements in my head that I was going to draw and started searching online for pictures that I could refer to. I referenced the characteristics of the dragon and made a rough draft on paper.

Afterwards, I transfer the drawing into AI using pen tool. I drew all the elements separately and put them into the template when I finished.

After done drawing, I combined it into the corresponding paper size and arranged it properly. I added some small elements such as an odd-shaped gold ingot, a chinese style door and houses deco the background to make it more interesting.

The mandarin word behind means everything will go well with you. I enlarged the font so that it goes beyond the border to make it look 3D. And also the dragon head and tail.

Finally, I added some shadows appropriately, even if the perspective is not very accurate, I need to practice more on this.
