Final Project-Cinemagraph-Self Titled

Self-titled is an exploration project for the students to express their individuality and reflect their personality in digital art self-expression. The main idea is to build up self-confidence and discover their interest.

We need to create a self-titled poster and make an animation in Adobe After Effects.

I find some references on Pinterest. I will come out with a few sketches base on these references.

Sketches:

The first attempt is a food theme. The food that I like floats around me, and also I would like to try the food turning surrounding me in the animation part.

The second attempt is about my hobby. I would like to make it like I’m enjoying watching movies and listening to music. I will find some elements such as tv, headphone, and movie track. If possible, I can add some flowers or sky to add the features.

I have taken two different angles of my own portrait and I will make two digital posters and choose after it.

I draw the seafood in Adobe Illustrator and copy it into Photoshop.

I use the technique of Photoshop that learned from Mr martin in my work. First, I masked my portrait and the big mouth. Next, I copy the foods from ai into ps and arrange them according to my sketch. For the background, I separate it into individual layers to convenient to do animation later to move in different directions.

I find relevant elements according to my statement from Pinterest.

I use the magic wand tool to remove the background for most of the elements.

Fig 5.3-adjustment

I adjust the colour of the turning strokes background by using a channel mixer in adjustment.

I try in different colour backgrounds, and I love the purple most.
